 Categories and forbidden regulations of telecommunication contraband which interfere with aviation safety and

 

 1. Base:

  To be enacted pursuant to the paragraph 2 of article 43 in Civil Aviation Law

 2. Applicable:

  Flight passengers must be in compliance with the following regulations after the cabin door is closed and the prohibition of the
   use of personal electronic appliances is to be announced by flight attendants. :

  (1) The use of the following electronic devices are prohibited on domestic flights:

   a. Citizen band radios

   b. Cellular telephones

   c. Various remote control transmitters, such as electronic toy controllers

   d. Personal audio/video devices, i.e.CD/MD/VCD/DVD/MP3/DISC and TV receivers

   e. Photographic devices, i.e. Video Cameras and Portable VCRs

   f. Electronic entertainment devices

   g. Computer and Peripheral Devices. i.e. Laptops /PDAs/Electronic Dictionaries/Calculators

   h. Radio Receivers

   i. Other transmitting devices.

  (2) The use of the following electronic devices are prohibited on international flights:

   a. Citizen Band Radios

   b. Cellular Telephones.

   c. Various remote control transmitters, such as electronic toy controllers

   d. Other transmitting devices

  (3) The use of the following electronic devices are prohibited during the taking off and landing of international flights (when
    the flight height is below 10,000 feet) :

   a. Personal audio/video devices, i.e.CD/MD/VCD/DVD/MP3/ DISC and TV Receivers.

   b. Photographic devices, i.e. Video Cameras and Portable VCRs

   c. Electronic entertainment devices

   d. Computer and peripheral devices, i.e. Laptops/PDAs/Electronic Dictionaries/Calculators

   e. Radio receivers

 3. Annotations :

  (1) The airport shall promote the regulations for the prohibited use of personal electronic articles through POS materials and
    broadcasting within the airport.

  (2) Airlines shall remind passengers at check in counters of the regulations for passenger use of personal electronic articles.
 
 (3) After the cabin door is closed, airlines shall remind passengers of the regulations prohibiting the use of electronic articles on
    the flight.

  (4) If the captain suspects the aviation system is interrupted due to passenger use of electronic articles which are out of the
    range of the stipulation, the captain may request the passenger to stop using the electronic device, but will allow use after it
    is certain that the electronic articles will not affect safety.

  (5) Any violation of the use of electronic articles on flights will be subject to the “regulations for flight passenger use of
    personal electronic articles on flights”
